About Me

Thanks for stopping by! I'm a designer who was drawn to the field while I was working as a software developer. I've lived in the Midwest and South for most of my life, and now call Colorado home.

I'm a lifelong student and feel grateful to be in a space that encourages me to keep learning about human nature, accessibility, and why designs are (or aren't) visually pleasing.

I’d enjoy working within a supportive, highly collaborative team that values curiosity, humility, humor, and kindness. In my experience, the best work comes from teams whose members aren't afraid to admit mistakes or that they don't know something.

Relevant Experience

As a developer, I mainly worked as a data engineer in a HIPAA-compliant startup setting. I led the data engineering/ETL team and coordinated with other members of the product team to work with clients directly, adhering to an Agile methodology when feasible. My work often involved troubleshooting on the fly and making sure we all had our deadlines met. I also created extensive documentation and helped to train new team members.

As I grow in my career, I'm especially interested in developing my skills around accessibility, digital illustration and animation, and of course, keeping up with AI.

When I'm not working

I love exploring the mountains, discovering new music, visiting the Denver area's many restaurants and venues, and hanging out with my partner and dogs. My creative outlets currently are cooking new recipes as often as possible, painting and drawing (both digital and analog), and filling up my walls with art. Ongoing projects include trying to live more sustainably, learning how to garden, and figuring out how to bake food properly at altitude.

If you think we'd work well together or just want to say hey, please reach out via email or LinkedIn.
